The venue of choice for national associations

Manchester Central has secured new deals with three leading national associations.

Attracting more than 1,000 delegates from within the field of contact lenses, The British Contact Lens Association (BCLA) has chosen Manchester Central to host its bi-ennial International Clinical Conference in 2019.

The British Orthodontic Society (BOS) has also committed to bring its annual conference to the north of Englandโ€™s leading conference and events venue in 2020.

This will be the third time BOS has hosted its three-day event in Manchester Central, having previously used the industry-leading venue in 2013 and 2017.

David Waring, newly appointed conference organiser for BOS, said: โ€œWe hosted our conference at Manchester Central in 2017 and it was a fantastic event. The location is superb, with both restaurants and a great shopping experience on the doorstep; and the venue was extremely comfortable โ€“ it perfectly accommodated all of our needs and allowed us to welcome close to 1,500 delegates.

โ€œThe Manchester Central team is great and very organised, so this, alongside the popularity of the venue amongst our delegates and speakers, led us to choosing Manchester Central to host our 2020 conference โ€“ we are really looking forward to returning!โ€

Furthering its successes, Manchester Central also recently won the bid to host The British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) Conference and Exhibition in 2023.

Shaun Hinds, CEO of Manchester Central, said: โ€œI am delighted that Manchester Central continues to be venue of choice for leading national associations.

โ€œWith an array of transport links nearby and a diverse mix of bars, restaurants, hotels and theatres within a 5-minute walk, the venueโ€™s location in the heart of Manchester makes it the perfect destination for event organisers, exhibitors and delegates travelling from across the UK and my team and I canโ€™t wait to welcome BCLA, BOS and BSG and all their delegates and exhibitors to the venue!โ€
