๐Ÿšฎ Disposal

Manchester Central aims to divert all waste from landfill.

All of the waste generated during the events we host is disposed of in our state-of-the-art recycling bins that are located across the venue.

The bins use the longopac liner system, which helps to further reduce plastic waste within the venue.

๐Ÿ—๏ธTransportation

The waste is then transported to our very own onsite waste management centre by our fantastic in-house cleaning and waste team

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Segregation

Once at our onsite waste management centre, the waste is separated into different waste streams and recyclables are segregated from general waste.

Anything non-recyclable is compacted into bales on site and transported to a combined heat and power facility, where energy is harvested to produce electricity and thermal heating.
