Chef de Partie

We are currently looking to recruit a Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team here at Manchester Central, reporting into the Head Chef.  It is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience working within a fast paced, dynamic kitchen with a focus on quality cuisine.

Your duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with the day-to-day food production, producing the highest standard of cuisine.
  • Controlling food cost by assisting in training kitchen staff on the proper methods of food preparation and handling; and working accurately to recipes.
  • Working with the Head and Executive Sous Chefs to establish goals for the kitchen, anticipate and resolve problems concerning all facets of the kitchen,

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Knowledge about his or her specialities and general culinary functions.
  • Great communication skills that mean they can give calm, clear and concise orders within their section as well as reliably undertaking requests handed to them by our senior chefs.
  • An existing food hygiene certificate would be great however full training will be provided.

You must:

  • Have a demonstrable passion for all things food
  • Possess excellent organisation skills necessary for the delivery of excellence in a fast-paced working environment.
