Manchester Central secures 3-year deal with the Vascular Society

Published at 14:23 on 29th of April 2010

Manchester Central Convention Complex has won a 3-year deal to host the Vascular Society Annual General Meeting from 2012 - 2014.

The Society’s last conference in Manchester was in 2007, and since then they have held their Annual General Meeting at various locations throughout the UK including Liverpool, Edinburgh and Bournemouth. Commenting on their decision to return to Manchester Central, the Vascular Society’s Chief Executive Jeanette Robey said; “Manchester Central is an excellent complex with a broad range of flexible facilities.  They have a lot of breakout rooms and the proximity of the exhibition hall to the auditorium really suits our needs and fits our style of event.” The annual 4-day conference is expected to attract up to 800 delegates, with many travelling nationally and internationally to attend.

Jeanette added; “Manchester Central’s location was another key factor for us. Our delegates come from all around the UK, and internationally in many cases, so accessibility to major motorways, train stations and an airport is crucial for us. The high standard of hotels within walking distance is also a huge benefit to an event such as ours.”

The Vascular Society 2012 Annual General Meeting will take place from 27 – 30 November 2012 at Manchester Central Convention Complex.
