Traffic management

Event security is provided by the Manchester Central Security Team supported by additional security officers provided by Frontline Security Limited. Their primary function is traffic management. Due to the number of events that require expertise in relation to traffic management all staff have developed a strong knowledge base and a high level of skill in this area of security work. 

Manchester Central’s Traffic Management policy ensures that we work closely with event organisers, exhibitors and suppliers to ensure that all good vehicles have access to the venue in an efficient fashion and that traffic movement is a smooth as possible.

In addition the Manchester Central Security Team control and monitor traffic around the perimeter of the venue.

Logistics

Manchester Central benefits from excellent site access, meaning that complex installations can be undertaken with ease and access for delegates and visitors is straightforward. With a large exhibitor parking area to the rear of Central Hall, the venue provides easy access and parking for goods vehicles and equipment. During set up and breakdown, we can also arrange for access to the front of the building via the forecourt area. The main rooms offer vehicle access, so vans and other goods vehicles can get as close to the doors as possible, making Manchester Central one of the best venues for exhibitors. During an event, we can also help with receiving smaller deliveries at our fully manned Reception area.
